The rear lines don't go all the way to the M/C.
There is a TEE fitting in the rear where they split off.
The Right side has a longer pipe with an extra bend and
that may be why it clogged after only......~40 years .
You can develop very high pressures just pressing on
the pedal. I'm surprised that wouldn't clear any clog.
IOW, I'm suspicious. Inspect that line carefully for damage
and maybe replace it in any event. (I assume you are replacing
all the rubber hoses anyway.)
