Come see it at the Woodstock show, it is located about three miles away!
This car was originally bronze but the previous owner covered it with a poor white spray job. Someone had requested that I look under the paint bubbles and I found some rust. Since I uncovered it I felt obligated to fix it before selling it. So I cut out the rust in the fenders and welded in clean metal. Also a spot on the driver's side floor was done as well as a spot under the driver's side front fender. Other than that the car is pretty much rust free. Rocker panels are very nice. What is is: 1979 Scirocco. 1.8L 8V engine out of a (IIRC) '88 Jetta. Stock AC but compressor is not charged. Pretty much everything else is stock. So what needs to be done: Engine needs a tune up, when I parked it the timing was off (Edit to add: OK, reset the timing and it runs like gang busters now). Horn doesn't work, used to I'm sure it is some simple electrical connection. Driver's side seat cushion is shot. Rear element for window defroster not working. Prep for painting and repaint. Parcel Shelf is missing. Look here for pictures (pictures show before and after rust repair): http://www.vandammeford.com/photoGalle ry.aspx?GalleryRootPath=Galleries/79Scir occo&returnPath=79Scirocco $1500 OBO. Please take it off my hands as I have too many projects and need the space. Starting work on a 1958 Single Cab. Thanks, Kevin
